After hours of hunting for the DOT year, your suggestion of looking on the INSIDE of the tyre saved my sanity! Haha, thanks dude! 🙂

It took me a long time to realise the information was different on each side of the tyre.
      So glad it helped.

The information you shared is very unique, important, and helpful to me. Before I didn’t know how to check tires age. I really appreciate your post.

    Hi
I am looking to purchase a Motorhome, and the DOT is not followed by 4 digits, rather HWNT ETFO.
I could get to the inside of the tyre at the time.
Are these letters any help in Identifying the age of the tyre. The MH is 1/9/15 registered.

    Cheers

The date will be on your tyres, in a little oblong shape. But, will only be on the one side of the tyre. I still find it difficult to spot.
Chances are if it was registered in 2015 it will have the original tyres on it.
      Hope you get your MH.
